Platinum Visual systems recently completed the Plantations Welcome Center and Botanical Garden Site, a project for Cornell University. The Architect, Baird Sampson Nuert, had a specific design criteria for a horizontal sliding unit with frameless sliding panels. Challenged by this requirement, our Design Team immediately went to work, creating an acceptable design, that would be both cost-effective, and meet the Architect's specific design issues. The Design Team creatively developed a solution, provided detailed drawings, and production went to work on developing samples for review.
Several samples were produced and submitted to the Architect. A final decision was made on one of the samples and a budget was provided. Based on the budget, and the ability to address the specific design criteria, Platinum Visual Systems quoted the project and received the contract.
The frameless horizontal sliding panels in the horizontal slider were exactly what the Architect and Owner requested, and they were completely satisfied with the installation.
Subsequent to this project, an additional project utilizing the same design will be provided to a school in Toronto, Canada, which the same Architectural firm was involved with.
